Zambia is a Hidden jewel amongst all African safari destinations, with over 19 national Parks and 34 game management conservancies. It boasts three of the largest rivers in Africa, the Zambezi, Kafue and Luangwa as well as one of the largest waterfalls in the world, the great Victoria Falls. With Intimate camps, a high concentration of game, situated in the most wild and remote regions, it makes Zambia a fantastic safari destination for the more adventure minded client.

Victoria Falls

The Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the World and to witness the awesome raw power and to catch the thunderous noise is a memory that will stay with me for a very long time. Livingstone, the gateway to the Victoria Falls is a hive of activity for the adventure junkies, you name it there’s an activity that will be attempted across the spectacular Victoria Falls. The Royal Livingstone Hotel owned by Sun International is the only 5 star hotel in close proximity to the Falls on the Zambian side, but what is lacking in upmarket hotels makes up in luxuriously intimate Lodges such as the colonial River Club, Tongabezi Lodge and the secluded Islands of Siankaba.

Lower Zambezi National Park

One of Zambia’s newest Parks and relatively undeveloped compared to other National Parks in Zambia, but its beauty lies in its absolute wilderness state. Traversing between the Zambezi Channels allow for some extremely upfront and personal sightings. Stunning properties pierce the banks of the Zambezi River such as Sausage Tree Camp, a small and sophisticated camp with Bedouin style tents and Chiawa Camp, also a luxury tented safari experience. Due to the rainfall and position of the safari camps along the Zambezi River it is recommended to check when they operate out of season.

South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park is getting a reputation of being one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and not without reason. The concentration of game around the Luangwa River and its ox bow lagoons is among the most intense in Africa. Two other notable accolades for South Luangwa National Park are the stunning leopard sightings and its reputation for walking safaris.

Kafue National Park

Kafue National Park is one of the Largest National Parks in Africa, covering vast tracts of pristine and remote wilderness. The northern section of the Kafue National Park is host to the vast floodplain. From the Busanga Plains in the North-western section of the Kafue National Park to the wooded wilderness region of the south, fed by the Lunga, Lufupa and Kafue Rivers.
