Safaris in South Africa

South Africa is blessed with a wide range of Safari experiences, that can cater for the big 5 safari, malarial free safari and child friendly safari. With the ongoing exceptional conservation programme within South Africa and the increase in Game Reserves we are sure we can find a suitable Safari destination that will fit in with any itinerary that you choose to embark on.
Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve
Sabi Sands Game Reserve is the premier game viewing region in South Africa and is situated on the western border of the Kruger National Park. The private game Lodges in this area provide exclusive accommodation, Professional game rangers, open 4x4 vehicles and phenomenal game viewing by day and night. Paddy Hagelthorn is one of the most respected Game Rangers in the Sabi Sands and manages Savanna Private Game Reserve. Excellent guides, luxury accommodation and fine cuisine, Savanna Private Game Reserve is the epitome of a fully inclusive and diverse African wildlife and cultural experience. A place you will want to return to time and time again, a place you will want to call home!
Sabi Sands is the perfect two centre holiday combination with a beach destination such as Mauritius.
Madikwe Game Reserve
South Africa is blessed with a wide selection of malaria free safari holidays and one area that is coming to the fore, is the Madikwe Game Reserve situated on the Botswana border in the North-west of South Africa. The Madikwe Game Reserve is now one of South Africa's prime safari destinations covering 60,000 hectares, making it one of the largest game reserves in South Africa that offer a Big 5 Game experience. Jaci`s Safari Lodge is one of the most well established private Lodges in Madikwe and caters superbly for family safari holidays. Children of all ages are welcome and are catered for in the specially designed child friendly safari programmes.
Madikwe is just a few hours drive from the Sun City Complex providing the ideal family holiday combination.
Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape provides a perfect extension to a self-drive garden route itinerary. With numerous Reserves opening up in the last 10 years, there has been a consistent introduction of game back into the Eastern Cape. Most of the lodges are just a mere one hour drive from Port Elizabeth and the most highly regarded and conservation conscious is Shamwari Private Game Reserve. Shamwari Game Reserve is a big 5 experience with 6 lodges covering an area of 20 000 hectares. Although each lodge provides a very different and unique feel, the one thing that is common-place throughout the Reserve is the commitment in providing a high level of service, personal attention and great cuisine.
Malaria Free Big Five Game Experience – Perfect for a garden route itinerary.
The Waterberg
The Waterberg has been described as one of South Africa’s best kept secrets, a mosaic of exceptional scenic landscapes, fascinating cultural heritage and an abundance of wildlife species. Set in the foothills of the Waterberg, One that we can recommend is the Marataba Game Lodge, a private concession in the Marakele National Park. The Waterberg is less frequented than other Private Game Reserves but the enchanting views of the Waterberg escarpment alone, certainly give me the urge to return and watch another perfect sunset.
