The Mozambique Concept

Mozambique has become a resurgent destination in the last 10 years and barefoot escapism is one of the reasons. The Islands off the Mozambique mainland offer a relaxed tranquil setting, fine cuisine, luxury accommodation and unspoilt palm fringed beaches. This raw feel is partly, due to the Mozambican Government policy to develop low profile lodges rather than Resort hotels in the eco-sensitive areas, thus allowing tourism to develop without spoiling the environment by over population.

Bazaruto Archipeligo

The Bazaruto Archipelago comprises of three larger islands of Bazaruto Island, Benguerra Island that is home to both Benguerra Lodge and Marlin Lodge and Magaruque Island, as well as the smaller Banque and Santa Carolina Islands, (previously known as Paradise Island).

Northern Mozambique

The Quirimbas Archipelago is situated off the Northern Mozambique Coast and is host to two Luxury Private Island Lodges, Vamizi Island Lodge and Quilalea Island. These secluded private Islands are accessed by light aircraft from Pemba Airport.
