The Cape Grace Hotel

The Cape Grace Hotel is an understated Small Leading Hotel of the World, situated in an exclusive position overlooking the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The 122 elegant rooms and suites either overlook the working harbour or afford stunning views of the impressive Marina and the imposing Table Mountain beyond.

Having appreciated the menu at One, Waterfront on numerous occasions we feel it is one of the finest dining establishments in Cape Town and the flawless attention to details and innovative dishes are to be appreciated.

The Mount Nelson Hotel

The Mount Nelson Hotel occupies an enviable position on the slopes of Table Mountain. This grand hotel owned by the Orient Express collection has been in operation for more than 100 years and is an oasis of luxury, privacy and tranquillity. The lush gardens provide a beautiful setting for weddings, whilst high tea on the verandah has become a Mount Nelson tradition.

Just a short taxi ride into the CBD District of Cape Town is the “Five Flies” Restaurant which has to be one of the most atmospheric restaurants I have sampled in the Cape.

Four Rosmead Boutique Guest House

Four Rosmead is an exclusive boutique guesthouse situated on the slopes of Table Mountain in the select residential suburb of Oranjezicht. This luxury guesthouse enjoys panoramic views of the mountain, Lions Head, Signal Hill, Table Bay and the city. It is within walking distance of the city as well as the vibrant Kloof Street, which is well known for its restaurant and café culture.

“The Oranjezicht” room at Four Rosmead is a sure recommendation with its stunning views of signal hill, lovely private patio and trendy gadgets that are prominent in this chic contemporary room.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa

Flanked by Table Mountain on the one side and the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing below, this designer chic boutique Hotel affords cool and elegant interiors is just 10 minutes drive from Cape Town’s central attractions and close to Camps Bay. While you are here make sure you indulge yourself in the newly upgraded luxurious Spa which can be enjoyed both indoors and out!

A special moment of mine was hosting my own wedding group on the Sun kissed deck of the Leopard Room Bar, whilst watching the blood orange sun pierce the horizon.

The Constantia Uitsig

Constantia Uitsig is a private working wine farm nestled in the shadow of Table Mountain, with beautiful gardens that offer picture perfect views across the sweeping valley. The Constantia Uitsig affords a peaceful ambience, charming service and exquisite dining which is the reason why so many guests return year after year. The French Provencal Restaurant – La Colombe and the typically Italian influenced Constantia Uitsig Restaurant are prominent in gourmet circles and both feature high in the top restaurants of South Africa.

Order a picnic from Reception, walk to the foot of the gardens and admire the picturesque setting of Constantia Uitsigs` very own cricket ground.

Cellars Hohenort Hotel

Situated in the heart of the Constantia Valley, the Cellars Hohenort is a haven of peace and tranquility with 9 acres of landscaped gardens and within close proximity to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Relax at this “Liz Mcgrath Collection” property in one of the 55 beautifully appointed rooms or the sumptuous Carchele Beauty Spa.

Dine at the Greenhouse Restaurant and look at the 300 year old Oak Tree that holds centre stage within this interestingly designed venue.
